The 1965 dramatic film “Doctor Zhivago” is the second movie of the 2025 Classic Movie Series.

Set against the backdrop of World War I and the October Revolution, Dr. Yuri Zhivago falls in love with a woman he cannot have. “Doctor Zhivago” is rated PG-13. Click here to watch a trailer.

The Classic Movie Series is free and open to the public. However, we are encouraging donations to help support the Brown Grand. Concessions will also be available for purchase.

Community Palm Sunday Service
Presented by the Concordia Ministerial Association

For the fourth year in a row, the Concordia Ministerial Association will be hosting a Community-Wide Palm Sunday Service at the Brown Grand. All are welcome to join us for this meaningful service, where local churches come together for a time of worship and teaching. This event is free and open to the public. A free will offering will be collected to support the efforts of the Concordia Ministerial Association.

NCK Dance Center Studio Recital

Join us for a FREE dance recital from our friends at the NCK Dance Center in Beloit. You will see kids of all ages performing dance routines they have been rehearsing. The NCK Dance Center has been bringing their spring show to the Brown Grand for decades. This is a great way to introduce children of all ages to the love to dance! The NCK Dance Center is run by instructor Jennifer Thompson. Join us!

The final movie of the 2025 Classic Movie Series is the 1962 thriller film “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?” 

Two aging siblings are stuck together in a mansion while wishing to relive their past days in the spotlight. One sister wishes to get even and the other sister wishes to return to fame. “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?” is rated 13+. Click here to watch a trailer.

The Salina Symphony Presents:
Mozart’s Requiem at the Brown Grand Theatre

The Salina Symphony will be joined by the Kansas Wesleyan University Philharmonic Choir in presenting Mozart’s majestic final work, the Requiem, a masterpiece of both solace and intensity reflective of the timeless themes of life, death and redemption. The program will open with a spiritual work by Florence Price, Adoration, featuring principal clarinetist Chris Johnson.

The 1st Infantry Division Band Concert

Save the date and join us for a band concert featuring the 1st Infantry Division Band from Fort Riley, KS. This is part of the ongoing celebration of the 80th anniversary of the closing of Camp Concordia. The band will perform on stage at the Brown Grand (310 W. 6th Street, Concordia).

The concert is free an open to the public.

When purchased the seats were taken out of rotation and therefore other people cannot purchase them. And the performer has already paid to staff the event insurance and paid for your seat to the venue. If you choose to give the tickets away or sell them to another party we can certainly help you forward the tickets to a new person we would just need their first and last name and email.
